Tuition is normally held weekly and lasts for one hour.
Cancellations: Students are expected to keep the number of cancellations to a minimum (lessons can be rearranged), although lessons which are cancelled during the school holiday period will not be charged for.
How much does 1:1 tuition cost?
1:1 tuition sessions cost £23 per hour and is payable to the tutor at the start of each lesson.
What level of maths do you tutor?
Upper Primary, all Secondary levels (S1, S2, S3, National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher maths).
Can parents / carers sit in on the 1:1 lessons?
Yes, parents / carers are very welcome to sit in with their child for the 1:1 lessons.
Are there any extra costs?
There are no additional fees or costs, and paper, pencils, past papers etc are provided.
What do I need to bring with me to lessons?
It is best to bring your own calculator, if you have one. Calculators vary, so it is always best to become familiar with your own calculator and use that if you can. Paper, pens and pencils are provided but you can bring your own if you prefer. A list of topics that you know you have trouble with and want to cover in the lesson(s) can also be very helpful.
What if I want to cancel the tuition?
You are free to cancel the tuition at any time.
Why 1:1 tuition?
Most parents agree that 1:1 tuition with a maths tutor is much preferred to going to a tuition centre where a number of children will share a tutor. Often it is more cost effective, and pupils can cover the maths topics that they want to go over.
